Trees for the Future

Here is a small post from Trees for the Future:

In BBayou Village, the Cameroon country coordinator of the Trees for the Future organisation, Louis Nkembi, explains proper cutting heights for maximum regeneration of trees.

Cut branches are dried and used for fuel, while nutrient -rich leaves provide animal forage and mulch to restore soils.Forest gardens relieve pressure on the natural forests by providing people with sustainable food and forest products like these. This year Louis will  oversee the planting of 2.8 million trees in Cameroon.

(Sounds a lot but isn’t in compare what has been cut down so far :(..)
